Three persons, including an MBBS student, were arrested for allegedly trying to leak the question paper of an exam being conducted by the State Bank of India. Police also recovered high-end mobile phones, data cards, duct tapes, shirts stitched with bluetooth stitched on to the collar and a laptop from them.
According to police,Ravi Atri,Amarjeet and Naval were running an exam question paper racket. They had leaked question papers of several competitive exams in the past, police said. They were planning to leak the question paper of a test being conducted by the SBI for the recruitment of stenographers and clerks when they were arrested on Sunday from Outer Delhi.
We had specific information that some persons coming from Barwala to Rithala would leak the paper of the SBI written test. Around 7.45 am,we stopped their car and arrested them, said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer) B S Jaiswal.
Police also recovered fake driving licences from them.
Their associate Chand was about to meet them at Mount Abu School in Sector-5,Rohini,and leak the paper to students appearing for the exam. The fake driving licences were so that they can appear as dummy candidates and then leak the questions, Jaiswal said.
The accused used to scan the question paper with the help of a mobile and mail it to specific email addresses. This mobile was fixed on the dummy candidate with the help of a duct tape. A wrist watch-shaped mobile phone was provided to real candidates to help them receive answers through SMS,police said.
The candidates were also given an ear-phone with the transmitter stitched to the shirt,to ensure they got the answers.
