A day after receiving nine complaints from several people, including Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari, the Delhi Police on Tuesday registered three separate FIRs at New Usmanpur police station, in connection with the incidents of violence
during the inauguration of the Signature Bridge on Sunday.

All three cases and other complaints have been transferred to the crime branch for further investigation. “First, two cross-FIRs have been registered against the party workers of BJP as well as AAP after police received complaints from one B N Jha and one Taukir. The third FIR was filed against AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan after police received a complaint from Tiwari,” a senior police officer said.

Tiwari had accused Khan of assaulting him during the inauguration. The AAP MLA has denied the allegations.
