Teenaged girl alleges rape by ex-Armyman father

A 16-year-old girl has alleged that her father had been raping her for past two-and-a-half months in Sultanpuri area of Outer Delhi.

A 16-year-old girl has alleged that her father had been raping her for past two-and-a-half months in Sultanpuri area of Outer Delhi.

According to police sources,the incident was reported on Wednesday when the victim’s mother reportedly took her daughter to the police station to lodge a complaint. After initial investigations,the police registered an FIR at Sultanpuri police station.

“We conducted the examination of the victim at the Sanjay Gandhi Hospital where it was confirmed that she had been allegedly raped,” a senior police officer said. The incident was reported from Kishan Vihar area of Sulatn Puri where the family has been staying for several years.

The police said the complainant in her statement said the victim’s father used to threaten the girl and her mother of dire consequences due to which they were never approached the police.

However,when victim’s father allegedly raped the girl again yesterday,her mother decided to go to the police. She even asked for security of her daughter and younger son,who was also threatened by the father.

The police officers said that the accused reportedly is a retired army man.

A case under Sections 376 and 506 has been registered and the father has been arrested.

The police said they would be giving security to the victim.
