According to the RTI reply, 282 calls were received by the anti-corruption branch on helpline 1031 up to May 13, 2015, and seven cases have been registered.
Casting aspersions on the advertisements put up by the Delhi government highlighting the achievements of the anti-corruption helpline, the BJP has sought details from the government on the arrests and suspensions. The advertisements claim 35 officials were arrested and 152 suspended since the helpline was relaunched two months ago.
Armed with an RTI reply —in which the ACB has refused to furnish the information on the details and suggested that the reply be sought from Vigilance department — the BJP called the the claims of “arrests” a hoax meant to “deceive people”.

Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay said Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was using corruption to exploit people’s sentiments. “Soon after coming to power, he (Kejriwal)used the corruption tag to put up self-publicity hoardings all over Delhi. But after the Supreme Court’s decision, he had to remove those hoardings. Now, the Kejriwal government has put up thousands of hoardings claiming that 35 officers have been arrested and 152 have been suspended. Nothing can be a bigger lie than this claim and we challenge the CM to come out with a list of the 35 officers as claimed in the hoardings,” he said.
“BJP believes this figure of 35 arrests is fudged as it is a matter of open knowledge and no one has heard of any Class I or II officer being arrested. The government website and its anti-corruption branch too are silent on these details,” Upadhyay said.
BJP alleged that Delhi government’s figures on 152 employees suspended on corruption grounds too are fabricated.
“Our information is that in the last 100 days, hardly 15 suspensions on corruption charges have taken place. The figure of 152 includes those suspended on administrative grounds,” Upadhyay said.
When contacted, government officials refused comment.
“The ACB is an independent agency and it can give the list if it wants to,” a senior official said.
