Seven persons were killed in six accidents reported in the city between Sunday and Monday from Mangolpuri,Dabri,Neb Sarai,Punjabi Bagh and INA Market area.
The first incident was reported in Southwest Delhis Dabri area. According to the police,two friends who were in an inebriated condition rammed their motorbike into a road divider after the rider lost control. The victims,identified as Sachin (28) and Mahesh (19),were returning to their Bindapur residence after celebrating Holi with their friends.
The second accident occurred in Mangolpuri where 25-year-old Deepak was killed in a similar accident.
The third one occurred in Punjabi Bagh,in which a 26-year-old man,Nikhil Arora,rammed his vehicle into a central verge while returning home with a friend,Sandeep Sharma.
In the fourth incident,which occurred in Neb Sarai area,a 22-year-old woman lost her life after being hit by an unknown vehicle.
The fifth accident occurred on Monday morning when a 26-year-old man,hailing from Gopalganj district in Bihar,died after being mowed down by an unknown vehicle in Sarojini Nagar area in South Delhi. The incident occurred around 9.30 am on the service lane near INA Market Metro station. Police said the victim,Moti Kumar Yadav,worked in Saudi Arabia and had arrived in the Capital early in the morning. He was going to meet a relative in Laxmi Bai Nagar when the accident occurred.
The sixth accident occurred on Monday afternoon in Ambedkar Nagar area,when a 21-year-old motorcyclist was killed after being hit by a tractor. The victim,Vijay,was a resident of Dakshinpuri in Ambedkar Nagar.
