According to the police, they received information about the alleged stabbing on Monday evening (Archive)A 17-year-old boy allegedly stabbed his uncle to death in Northeast Delhi’s Nand Nagri after he allegedly scolded and hit the accused’s sister for not studying, police said. The boy was later apprehended on Tuesday (August 19) night.
According to the police, they received information about the alleged stabbing on Monday evening. Upon reaching the spot, the police were informed that the victim had been taken to the Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital, where he was declared dead.
“Crime and Forensic Science Laboratory teams inspected the scene and collected evidence. Senior officers also examined the spot. During the inquiry, it came to light that the victim had scolded his minor niece over a trivial issue,” said Ashish Mishra, DCP (Northeast). Upset by the scolding, the niece informed her brother, who allegedly stabbed his 48-year-old uncle, the officer added.
A case under Section 103(1) (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita has been registered at Nand Nagri police station.
