After a minor girl, who worked as a maid in Preet Vihar, was found hanging at her employer’s house on Friday evening, around 100-200 people protested outside Preet Vihar police station on Saturday.

They alleged that the girl had been raped and murdered by the property dealer who had employed her and demanded his arrest.

While protesters claimed that police resorted to mild lathi charge, police denied this.

“We have requested… an autopsy. There was no lathi-charge. We told the family that we are not taking any chances and have asked for a medical board’s opinion,” DCP (East) Ajay Kumar said.
