Property dealer’s house burgled

A dozen men allegedly barged into the house of a property dealer late on Monday night and decamped with cash and valuables.

A dozen men allegedly barged into the house of a property dealer late on Monday night and decamped with cash and valuables. The incident was reported in Prem Nagar area of Aman Vihar in Outer Delhi. According to complainant Satpal Singh (35),he was at home with his wife and 12-year-old son,when there was a knock on their door at 11 pm. When he answered,12 men,armed with sticks,barged in and assaulted Singh. His wife was allegedly beaten up as well.

“The accused broke open the cupboard and took out cash,jewellery and property documents. Singh told us that he suspects a local leader in the area to be behind the attack. The two have a long standing property dispute,” a senior police officer said. An estimate of the robbed amount is yet to be made,the police said.
