The Delhi Police said Wednesday they seized more than 60 kg of ganja and over 100 gm of amphetamine, a highly addictive stimulant drug, during five operations conducted in the North district. The Delhi Police Special Cell carried out the operation in coordination with the Anti Narcotics Cell and the Anti Auto Theft Squad (AATS).
Raja Banthia, Deputy Commissioner of Police, North, said the first operation was in the Civil Lines area.
“During the raid, three people- namely Vikas Kumar, Manjay Kumar, and Kushindra – were apprehended with 2 kg of ganja,” DCP Banthia said.
He said another 12 kg of ganja was seized from Manjay Kumar’s flat. The interrogation of the accused led the police to a syndicate based in Odisha.
