Petrol pump staffers robbed of Rs 5 lakh

Two petrol pump employees were shot at in East Delhi on Monday morning,as they tried to resist a robbery attempt.

Two petrol pump employees were shot at in East Delhi on Monday morning,as they tried to resist a robbery attempt. The armed assailants,however,escaped with Rs 5 lakh. A case has been registered in this regard at Pandav Nagar police station.

The incident was reported from Mayur Vihar Phase I at 9.30 am,when the two employees were going to deposit the money in a Bank of Maharastra branch.

“Ravi (32) and Manraj (50) were attacked by three bike-borne armed assailants who were waiting outside the branch. The accused fired 8-10 rounds,” a senior police officer said.

Ravi reportedly received two bullet injuries in his stomach,while two bullets grazed Manraj’s body.

They were rushed to Jeevan Anmol hospital nearby,where they are recuperating.
