Perform duty well and take the weekend off with family at a resort in Rajasthan. This is the performance-based incentive Gurgaon traffic police is offering to its personnel. Five constables recently went on a two-day,one-night holiday with their families after their higher-ups expressed happiness over their performance.

“These constables and their families might have never stayed in such a resort, and some might never have been to these places. We have collaborated and tied up with resorts and are sending the constables and their families on a holiday. This is a sort of appreciation and reward for their good work. This will also encourage them to perform even better,” DCP (Traffic) Bharti Arora told Newsline .

Another incentive is lunch at the Oberoi Hotel for personnel who issue traffic violation challans of high amounts. Eighteen personnel, including traffic inspectors and road safety officers, have been chosen for this and would be sent for lunch to the 5-star hotel in the coming days.

In appreciation of their work, traffic constables are also being given free passes to the ‘Kingdom of Dreams’.

“Since the tickets are very costly and most constables cannot afford to purchase them,we thought this incentive would be a good one,” said an official.

Smaller rewards include diaries, rings and other stationery items.
