Pay fee or withdraw admission: Class 8 EWS students of Bal Bharti School told

Pay fees or withdraw your children: Parents of Class 8 students, studying at Bal Bharati Public School in Dwarka under the EWS (economically weaker section) and DG (disadvantaged group) categories, were in for a rude shock when they got a message to this effect.

With the school asking them to pay fees from Class 9 onwards, parents have written to the Directorate of Education (DoE) seeking its intervention.

The parent of a Class 8 student in the EWS category said, “We were told that the quota is only till Class 8. After that, we will have to take admission in the general category or take a TC (transfer certificate). They said these are the rules and gave copies of this to us. Around 48 such students are facing this issue.”
