Pan masala baron’s son and wife booked after daughter-in-law dies by suicide

Police said it was the husband who made a PCR call after discovering the body around 12.30 pm on Tuesday.

“On the complaint of mother of deceased, a case under sections 108/3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) (306/34 IPC), has been registered at at Vasant Vihar police station against the husband and mother-in-law,” DCP (South West) Amit Goel said.

“We brought her home last year after she complained about physical abuse and her husband’s affairs. They [her in-laws] took her back, saying they would keep her like their daughter. But recently, she again complained about the [husband’s] affairs. I spoke to her two-three days ago. She was talking about her son’s admission,” Deeptis’s brother Rishabh had told the media.
