A 25-year-old man was stabbed to death near his home in central Delhi’s Desh Bandhu Gupta Road. The body of the victim, Uday Bhan, was found in the early hours of Saturday, a few kilometres from the Sarai Rohilla police station.

Police have not overruled robbery as a motive behind the murder, as both Bhan’s mobile phone and wallet were missing. According to his family, Bhan had left home Friday night for Kishanganj railway station, from where he was scheduled to take a train to his hometown in Uttar Pradesh. He was found lying in a pool of blood near Liberty Cinema by a security guard Saturday morning. He was rushed to a hospital, where he was declared dead.
