Bajrang Dal leader Raj Kumar, better known as Bittu Bajrangi, was arrested by Nuh police Tuesday in connection with the violence that broke out in the district during a religious yatra on July 31.

In a purported video of his arrest, a team of over 20 officers in civilian clothes, armed with lathis, chases Bajrangi from his home in Faridabad’s Dabua. He is seen attempting to flee but is nabbed by the team.

Nuh police said an FIR against him was registered on a complaint by ASP Usha Kundu at Sadar Nuh police station Tuesday. The charges against him include assault or criminal force to deter a public servant from discharge of duty; voluntarily causing harm to deter a public worker from doing duty; rioting; and Section 25 of the Arms Act.
