When Srishti Sethia, a mixologist, moved to Delhi a month-and-a-half ago from Bangalore, she had her doubts about living in a city that is “infamous for being the rape capital”. But her experience in Delhi has surprised her so far, she says.

Sethia says Delhi has been a “good change”. Being one of the few women mixologists in the country, Sethia says she knows how to deal with men making inappropriate passes. She added that Delhi has surprised her so far with its civility. “Not only are people more open to experimenting with their drinks, they don’t mind being served by a woman,” says Sethia.

Asked if there was one thing she wanted to change about the city, Sethia says, “Definitely the weather. The heat is unbearable.”
