Minor rescued from abductors in Rajasthan

A 10-year-old boy was rescued from his kidnappers,led by a Chambal dacoit,in Rajasthan by the Delhi Police on Saturday.

A 10-year-old boy was rescued from his kidnappers,led by a Chambal dacoit,in Rajasthan by the Delhi Police on Saturday. Tarun was taken from near his Southwest Delhi home two months ago. His family said they had received a ransom call for Rs 3 crore on March 12 from a man claiming to be Chandan Singh,a dacoit operating from the Chambal forests in Rajasthan’s Sikandarpur area. Six persons arrested following initial investigations told the police they had kidnapped Tarun and handed him over to Singh. Specific information was received about the boy being kept in the jungles near a temple in the Sikandarpur area. A police team was able to rescue Tarun after an exchange of fire with a group of four-five people moving with him.
