In view of the preliminary report from the CBI regarding irregularities in Building department in Civil Lines Zone,North corporation has suspended five engineers and two beldars. The suspended staffers were caught accepting a bribe of Rs 30 lakh from Micromax co-founder Rajesh Agarwal for giving clearance for the construction of a banquet hall in Wazirabad.

Officials said criminal and disciplinary proceedings against them are pending.
