‘Met after 103 days for 7 hours… Proud of you Manish’: Sisodia’s wife pens note after meeting him

The court had granted Sisodia permission to meet Seema at home last week, but she had to be hospitalised before the meeting. Suffering from Multiple Sclerosis, she was discharged from hospital later. The court then granted Sisodia permission to meet her either in hospital or at home, in the presence of security personnel.

In her note, Seema spoke about the time the Aam Aadmi Party was formed, “When these people were forming the party, many well-wishers said that journalism and activism are fine, but one shouldn’t get involved in politics. The people in power will not allow them to work and will disturb the family. But Manish was stubborn and formed the party with Arvind ji and others… The work done by them forced big people to talk about education, health, electricity, and water. Today the same stubbornness again appeared on Manish’s face and in other things. The man who has been sleeping on the floor for the last 103 days on a mat with mosquitoes, ants and insects around still has only one dream in his eyes – to lift the world up through education. To show the way forward through honest politics.”

She said she also spoke to Sisodia about the role of education in developed countries such as Japan, Singapore, America, Israel.

“In our meeting today, along with my health, he also talked about these things. I am proud that even today my husband has the same stubbornness and attitude… I see the dream of an educated and prosperous India of 2047 being firmly woven in a cell of Tihar Jail… Proud of you Manish.
