The Crime Branch of Delhi Police arrested a 46-year-old man wanted for the murder of Delhi Police Head Constable Ramkishan. Ram Niwas alias Kala,who was arrested on September 21,is part of the Neetu Dabodha gang and has 24 criminal registered cases against him,police said. Police have seized a .315 country-made pistol from him.
Addl CP (Crime) Ravindra Yadav said Ram Niwas was nabbed when he had gone to Sector-16,Rohini to meet his accomplice. Ram Niwas,a resident of Jhajjar,Haryana,met Surender Malik alias Neetu Dabodha when they were both imprisoned in Bhondsi jail, he said.
Police said on November 24,2012,Neetu went to Ram Niwass village along with his accomplices Paras and Alok. The four then came to Delhi.
On their way back to Haryana,Head Constable Ramkishan,deployed at the Jonti border picket,signalled them to stop for a routine check and asked them to get off their vehicle. Instead,one of the men shot at him. The four later fled to Punjab and Ram Niwas took up a job as a truck driver to evade arrest, Yadav said.
Paras was arrested a few months later. Neetu and Alok are still absconding.
