Maruti Suzuki workers union chief arrested over protest marches in Gurgaon
According to Deepak Saharan, DCP (East), the first case was registered against Jhangu for leading a protest march of workers from the Gurgaon-Manesar-Neemrana automobile belt on February 19.
Maruti Suzuki workers union president Kuldeep Jhangu was arrested by Gurgaon Police Tuesday over two separate cases registered against him.
According to Deepak Saharan, Deputy Commissioner of Police (East), the first case was registered against Jhangu for leading a protest march of workers from the Gurgaon-Manesar-Neemrana automobile belt on February 19.

The march was against the brutal lathi-charge on the Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) workers in Tapukhera near Bhiwadi in Rajasthan. The second case was registered for holding a protest outside the Honda corporate office in Badshahpur the same day, in violation of the court orders. “He was arrested and sent to judicial custody till April 4,” said Saharan.
