Four bike-borne assailants allegedly robbed Rs 32.5 lakh from a SIM card distributor in Northeast Delhi’s Jyoti Nagar area on Monday afternoon when the man was going to deposit the cash in bank. According to police, Manish Goyal — who runs a distributor firm of SIM cards of two cellphone companies — was heading towards to Corporation Bank in Jyoti Nagar with his partner Devender Singh.
“The incident occurred around 12.15 pm on Monday. Goyal and Singh were going to the bank in Goyal’s car. Suddenly, four unidentified men on two motorbikes intercepted their car and one of them pointed a gun at Goyal’s temple. He then snatched the bag carrying cash from Goyal’s hands,” a police officer said.
