A 27-year-old musician allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the 13th floor of a residential highrise on Wednesday morning.

Police said the man, Sumed Prasad, lived with his parents in Parsvnath Exotica on Golf Course Road in Sector 53, Gurgaon. His father is a retired professor from IIT-Delhi.

“Sumed left a suicide note apologising for not being a good son. He was a graduate and a musician. He generally practised at home. He was also undergoing treatment for depression,” Assistant Commissioner of Police (DLF) Rajesh Pal.

The incident came to light when the man’s father, Surinder Prasad, heard the news that someone had jumped from the 13th floor of their building. He was shocked to see the body was that of his son, a police officer said.
