Man held in Noida for misbehaving with woman BLO

A man was arrested in Noida on Wednesday after a purported video of him allegedly misbehaving with a woman Booth Level Officer (BLO) – involved in Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls – went viral on social media, police said.

The man, Joginder, was arrested on the charge of obstructing a government officer on duty. The incident occurred at a primary school in Sector 12.

In the viral video, the man, allegedly in an inebriated condition, is seen shouting while holding a mobile phone and threatening the BLO. “Don’t take me lightly, my name is Joginder,” he is heard saying. The BLO is seen repeatedly trying to explain to him that she doesn’t have his SIR form and he has to approach his respective BLO. Despite this, the man continues to shout.
