The legal aid counsel scheme implemented by the Delhi Legal Services Authority aims to ensure legal representation of accused in all cases.
Remand advocates have been appointed by the DLSA to defend arrested persons so that every person in custody is assured of legal representation at different stages of his or her trial. The authority also has a panel of advocates. The
figures below point at the number of cases taken up by the DLSA in its counsel scheme and settled through conciliation. It also lays down the number of beneficiaries in the last one month.
