Khan Market gets two new all-women police posts

Two new all-women police posts were inaugurated in Khan Market by Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena, who was accompanied by Sanjay Arora, Commissioner of Police, Delhi, and other senior police officials on Sunday.

The event saw the participation of representatives from the Khan Market Residents’ Welfare Association (RWA). The new posts have been equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and staffed by well-trained female officers, officials said.

According to officials, the Khan Market Police Post is led by sub-inspector Puja Saini, supported by nine subordinate female officers.

The police post at Shraddhanand Marg aims to provide a conducive environment for women complainants and ensure a visible female police presence in the area, said officials.
