The accused in the Tilak Nagar eve teasing incident was granted bail yesterday night.

The police had lodged a complaint against the accused after the victim, Jasleen Kaur, shared the photograph and details about an eve teaser who had allegedly harassed her at a traffic signal while travelling at around 8 p.m. on Sunday in a Facebook post.

Sarvjeet Singh aka Sunny, the accused in the case, alleged that Jasleen is an AAP supporter and is doing it all for political mileage and fame. His mother also made a statement claiming that her son is innocent, and Jasleen is misusing her political connections.

As per Kaur, it wasn’t just eve-teaser’s obscene comments, but also his sheer audacity and the inaction of the people around her that spurred her to share her story and shame the offender.
