Police arrested two youths from West Delhi for duping a businessman on Wednesday.

Police arrested two youths from West Delhi for duping a businessman on Wednesday. They are reportedly inspired by the Bollywood flick ‘Badmaash Company’. The arrested have been identified as Deepak Kumar (22) and Deepak Mishra (20).

The cheating came to light after a civil contractor,Tarjeet Singh, told police that a man had met him in August last year and introduced himself as a representative of Dhanlaxmi Bank. “He promised Singh that his account will be opened with the bank, with an over-draft facility of Rs 25-30 lakh. Singh had given them a cheque of Rs 1,250 as processing fee,” said Addl CP (West) V Renganathan.

However, when Singh checked the balance in his existing account in UCO Bank in September,he found that Rs 4.10 lakh had reportedly been withdrawn through the same cheque.

Two accomplices are still absconding.
