The body of a three-month-old girl was found in a drain on the premises of Lok Nayak Hospital in Central Delhi on Tuesday afternoon. During investigation,police learnt that the girls mother Gudiya,had reported the child missing around 6 am. According to police,Gudiya and her husband Mohd Sameer had come to the hospital to get their daughter,a twin of the child who died,treated for pneumonia. Around 6 am,Gudiya gave the child to an unidentified woman and went into the washroom. When Gudiya came out,she claimed in her statement that the child and the woman were missing.
IOCL employee falls to his death
A 52-year-old accounts officer with Indian Oil Corporation Limited,Tikam Shivam,committed suicide by jumping off the sixth floor of his office in Hauz Khas on Tuesday afternoon. In his suicide note,he said constant harassment by his seniors drove him to take the extreme step. The incident was reported at 3.30 pm from the Indian Oil Corporation building in Hauz Khas.
Jewellery store staffer flees with 2-kg gold chain
An jewellery store employee allegedly stole gold worth
Rs 60 lakh from a shop in Chandni Chowk three days ago. The accused has been identified as Mahesh Chopal,a native of Bihar. The jeweller Kamlesh Kumar Jain in his complaint said he had sent Chopal to deliver a gold chain weighing two kilos to a customers. He claimed that Chopal fled with the chain.
