INDIA members to hit the streets today to protest MPs’ suspension

The INDIA Alliance will take to the streets on Friday to protest against the suspension of Opposition MPs in an “undemocratic manner” with Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi and other alliance MPs and leaders to address the demonstration at Jantar Mantar.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Congress launched the AICC’s crowdfunding ‘Donate for the Country’ campaign from its state headquarters at an event presided over by Delhi Congress president Arvinder Singh Lovely.

The party said AICC treasurer and former Union Minister Ajay Maken had donated Rs. 1.38 lakh to officially launch this campaign by the party’s state unit.

“The campaign is a historic event as the real purpose of this exercise is not only to collect funds, but also to directly connect Congress workers with the common people at the booth level,” Lovely said.
