Three days after the cancellation of the Metallica concert in Gurgaon, event organisers DNA Networks on Monday said it has initiated the process of refunding ticket money to fans.

Officials said that as the entire episode had occurred on a weekend, the process had to be initiated on Monday. Once all the details are acquired from the banks, the money will be deposited in the accounts of people who had bought tickets, they added.

“A majority of our tickets were sold online, and more than 20,000 bank accounts are involved. Since we started the process of refunding only today,it will take some time to happen,” said Karuna Prithvi,PR manager,DNA Networks.

Officials said that as per the process,a ticket holder will have to come to the outlet in person and hand over the tickets, after which the refund will be given. The actual estimate will only be available by Tuesday, they added.

Meanwhile,an application has been filed in a city court for bailing out four members of the organising team, who were arrested on the morning after the concert cancellation.

The arrested persons have been identified as the general manager (operations) Ashok Kumar, and officials Umesh Chinara,Rajesh and Severa Fillero. Charged under Section 420 and 406,they have been remanded in police custody for six days.

The police have also sent a notice to the organisers, asking them to elaborate on the show cancellation and charges of cheating.
