Open Gurgaon section of Dwarka expressway: Gadkari to NHAI
Minister of State and Gurgaon MP Rao Inderjit Singh said the Gurgaon portion of the expressway is complete and should be opened to traffic, to which Gadkari gave his approval. A date is yet to be fixed in this regard.

Express file photo Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Tuesday directed officials of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to open the Gurgaon section of the Dwarka Expressway.
In a meeting, Minister of State and Gurgaon MP Rao Inderjit Singh said the Gurgaon portion of the expressway is complete and should be opened to traffic, providing relief to the residents, to which Gadkari gave his approval.
However, a date has not been fixed.
The two ministers also discussed the delayed progress of various national highway projects and the need to expedite them; specifically an elevated road project from Hero Honda Chowk to Umang Bharadwaj Chowk. Rao presented a 2017 notification designating this road as part of the NHAI. Gadkari directed officials to consider it as NHAI’s responsibility and plan for its elevated development.
