A lawyer, who works at the Gurgaon district court, has alleged that she was beaten up by “around a dozen men”, who barged into her house Saturday night, after she objected to them passing lewd remarks about her clothes earlier in the evening.
ASI Krisan Kumar Yadav, who is probing the matter, said, “No case has been registered yet. We are conducting preliminary investigations right now.”
The woman, a labour lawyer, alleged, “They began passing lewd comments about my clothes. When I objected, they started to threaten me. They told me that they would make me disappear.” Later, around 11.30 pm, she alleged that “around a dozen men” barged into her home, and beat her up.
Ravinder Kumar, PRO, Gurgaon Police, said, “There was nothing indicative of a scuffle at her house. But the woman said she had sustained injuries, so she was admitted to the General Hospital in Gurgaon.”
