Three persons, including a man and his son, were killed when the car they were travelling in collided head-on with another car in Gurgaon, Sunday. The man’s wife survived the accident.
Police said the family was returning from a hospital in Kosli when their Alto 800 collided with a speeding Verna near Surehli village. While the driver, Balram, died on the spot, Lalita Devi’s husband, Ishwar, and her son, Manish, died on the way to Rewari Trauma Centre.
Police said Ishwar was a havaldar in the Indian Army and had returned home a week ago to celebrate Diwali. When his wife fell ill Saturday morning, he requested a neighbour, Balram, to drive them to the hospital.
“We have registered a case. The other car was allegedly speeding and rammed theirs,” said Narendra Kumar, officer in-charge, Nahar police post. The two occupants in the other vehicle were also injured and are in hospital, police said.
