Rajya Sabha MP and former Delhi BJP president Vijay Goel said a team led by him will soon campaign in Varanasi, telling voters that AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal was making “false promises” to them.
“In Delhi also, he made several promises, none of which was fulfilled. Now he is making similar promises in Varanasi,” Goel said.
“Kejriwal is talking about welfare of labour in Varanasi while he failed to fufil the promise of regularisation of contract employees in Delhi.
Kejriwal talks about removing corruption, but he failed to register even a single case of corruption against any Congress leader during his 49-day government,” he said.
The campaign is titled “Beware Varanasi! Kejriwal duped Delhi”.
“We will hold meetings across the constituency to inform voters how the AAP chief betrayed the people of Delhi. He ran away, displaying great irresponsibility. The result is that today, Delhi residents have to suffer in absence of an elected government…,” Goel said.
