A day after the decomposed body of a 17-year-old girl was found inside a drain in East Delhi,the post-mortem report confirmed she had not been sexually assaulted or raped

A day after the decomposed body of a 17-year-old girl was found inside a drain in East Delhi,the post-mortem report confirmed she had not been sexually assaulted or raped.

Police said the body had no internal or external injuries and the cause of death appeared to be drowning.

The girl had been missing since Saturday afternoon. A decomposed body was found in a drain on Wednesday in Mayur Vihar and police investigation revealed it was of the girl who had been missing.

In another development,after the discovery of the body,a 28-year-old woman,unrelated to the case,allegedly morphed the dead girl’s photograph,clipping it with the photograph of her boyfriend.

She then circulated the photo in the area,saying her boyfriend was last seen with the girl and that the police should arrest him. She also organised a protest in the area,police said.

Police later found the woman had broken up with her boyfriend.
