Two armed men dressed as online delivery agents looted a jewellery store in Ghaziabad’s Brij Vihar area Thursday afternoon, fleeing with over 20 kilograms of silver and 125 grams of gold, worth more than Rs 20 lakh, in just six minutes.

While no arrests have been made so far in connection with the robbery at Mansi Jewellers, located on Thana Link Road, the Ghaziabad police said multiple teams are working to identify the suspects using footage and technical surveillance.

“Two unidentified miscreants looted jewellery worth over Rs. 20 lakh from the store. They were wearing the uniforms of Blinkit and Swiggy to avoid suspicion. We have formed six teams to investigate the case, and arrests will be made soon,” said Nimish Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Trans Hindon).

CCTV footage shows the two robbers pushing a man inside the jewellery store as they enter. While one man is seen wearing a yellow Blinkit T-shirt, a blue helmet and a face mask, the other is clad in an orange Swiggy uniform with a black helmet. Inside, they confront a lone staffer, slap him, and force him to cooperate at gunpoint.

The video shows the man in the Swiggy outfit jumping behind the counter and emptying jewellery cabinets while his associate packs the ornaments into a bag. When the young store employee tries to escape, the robbers abuse and threaten to shoot him.

The moment the two men flee on a motorcycle, the employee runs outside and shouts for help, attempting to alert bystanders and gather a crowd.

Store owner Krishna Verma, who was not present at the time of the robbery, told the police that his staff informed him about the heist shortly after it occurred. “They entered suddenly, pointed a gun, and threatened the boy working inside. Everything happened so quickly,” he said.

The police said they have registered a First Information Report and are scanning CCTV footage from the area.
