From monitoring the safety of delegates to ensuring that public property is not defaced or stolen, the command and control centre of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) is going to have its hands full in the light of the upcoming G20 Summit in the capital.

The centre is equipped to operate as a “third eye” for flawless coordination for the Summit, according to NDMC vice-chairperson Satish Upadhyay.

Addressing the media regarding the surveillance system, Upadhyay said Friday, “Areas coming under the NDMC will not be open to the public but still, a huge number of people, including hotel staff and government officials, will be frequenting them. All issues will be resolved in 10-15 minutes.”
