G-20 Summit in mind, Khan Market gets a makeover
An installation of ‘#NewDelhi’, with a multi-coloured marbled pattern, has been placed. The market has also been branded with G-20 symbols in the form of graffiti on walls.
With less than a month left for the G-20 Summit, the popular Khan Market is in the middle of a makeover.
Sources in the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) said it is anticipated that delegates and their staff visiting the national capital between September 8 and 10 will drop by as all major hotels are located near the market.

Currently, a security post has been built in the market to deploy additional security when delegates visit. A public toilet has also been constructed and efforts are on to keep the old washrooms clean. Plants have also been put on pavements and near the parking space, kerb stones have been painted afresh, and broken or missing paving blocks have been replaced with new ones.
