Four pose as I-T officers,loot realtor of Rs 2 crore,car

A manager of a construction company was looted of Rs 2 crore after four armed men intercepted his Chevrolet car in Hauz Khas,South Delhi,on Thursday evening.

Rs 2 crore after four armed men intercepted his Chevrolet car in Hauz Khas,South Delhi,on Thursday evening.

Police said Sukhanto Roy was headed towards Lajpat Nagar,when a Toyota Corolla forced his driver to stop the car near the Panchsheel flyover.

Roy told police that a man from the Corolla came over and identified himself as an Income Tax official. He sat with Roy on the rear seat while another man got in and sat next to Roy’s driver Sanjay.

Police said Sanjay was told to drive and the Corolla continued to trail them. Soon,the two men in Roy’s car took out guns and asked Sanjay to drive towards Vasant Vihar.

In Vasant Vihar,they took Roy’s briefcase that contained

Rs 2 crore in cash. Roy and Sanjay were told to get off at Munirka and the men fled with the Chevrolet and the money,police said.

A case of abduction and robbery has been registered at the Hauz Khas police station.

In a similar case reported from Safdarjung Enclave last week,unidentified men had abducted an executive of a private company,driven him around in their SX4 and dumped him in an isolated place near the airport after robbing him of his belongings.
