Four men killed Tillu to avenge death of Gogi: Police
With 46 criminal cases lodged against him, he has been convicted in five.

To avenge the killing of their leader, four gangsters associated with the Jitender Gogi gang allegedly attacked Tillu Tajpuriya, said police.
The four men were identified as Yogesh Tonda, Deepak Titar, Rajesh Singh, and Riyaz Khan. They allegedly inflicted over 90 wounds on the gangster and killed him inside his cell, said police.
In December 2021, two men entered Rohini court and fired at Jitendra Mann alias Gogi, killing him on spot. An investigation led police to rival gangster Tillu, who had allegedly planned the crime. Upset over losing their leader, the gang had been planning ways to attack Tillu but he was in high-security jail since 2016, said police. On April 22, when he was shifted from Mandoli to Tihar, the gang saw an opportunity.
One of the close associates of Gogi, Goldy Brar, who is hiding in Canada has also taken responsibility, said police. In a purported social media post, Brar said, “Today, my friends Deepak Titar and Yogesh Tonda killed Tillu… He had killed my brother Gogi and we took revenge…”
One of the accused, Yogesh Tonda, is a history-sheeter. As per police, he is involved in over 14 cases and was arrested in 2019. Tonda’s accomplice, Deepak Titar, is also a known gangster involved in over 24 cases, said police.
Another accused, Rajesh, a native of Outer Delhi’s Bawana, initially worked as a bus conductor, when he was involved in two criminal cases. “As he was facing financial hardships working as a conductor, he joined a gang and assaulted a bus driver,” the criminal dossier of Rajesh stated.
With 46 criminal cases lodged against him, he has been convicted in five.

Riyaz Khan (40) has two cases against him, including that of murder and attempted murder, and has been convicted in a case, said police. “He started working at a tent house and came in contact with bad elements… In 2008, he was held after pointing a knife at the public…,” his dossier stated.
