Firing incident in Delhi’s Naraina, no injuries reported
A week before that two men on a bike opened fire at a sweets shop in West Delhi's Tilak Nagar on August 23.
Police have charged Gurpreet, along with Ashok Kumar, the banquet hall owner, under sections of the Arms Act and penal codes related to endangering life and disobeying public servant orders.
A firing incident was reported in Naraina on Friday evening, said police. No injuries or casualties have been reported.
According to the police, the firing took place at a car showroom around 7:30 PM. After the shooting the shooters left behind a note reading “Bhau gang, since 2020”.
“After receiving the information, the local police station’s staff along with the Operations team reached the scene of crime. The Crime Team was also called to the scene to investigate. Initial investigation has revealed that three men had come to the showroom and fired over 10 shots inside. We have formed teams to trace and identify these men,” said DCP West, Vichitra Veer. “The complainant has told us that they received some missed calls and messages but we’re trying to verify this,” the DCP added.
The police have not yet confirmed whether any ransom was demanded from the owners of the car showroom.
Before this incident, on September 2, two men on a bike opened fire on a property dealer’s office in Dwarka’s Mohan Garden. The slip left behind by the attackers bore the names “Kala Jatheri Bhai” and “Jony Bhai”, both names of gangsters associated with the Kala Jathedi gang.

Earlier in June, two men had entered a Burger King outlet in West Delhi’s Rajouri Garden and shot several rounds, killing one man. Police later confirmed that gangster Himanshu Bhau had taken responsibility for the shooting as “revenge” for the alleged murder of one of his close associates.

In May, two men on a bike opened fire at a car showroom in Tilak Nagar. A few days later, the showroom owner allegedly received a call from Himanshu Bhau demanding Rs 5 crore as ransom. Later that month, two men had opened fire at another property dealer’s office in Mohan Garden on two separate occasions before dropping a note demanding 10 lakh rupees as a protection fee.
