A 10-year-old girl fell off a moving autorickshaw as her parents were tried to resist a snatching attempt on Sunday afternoon.

A 10-year-old girl fell off a moving autorickshaw as her parents were tried to resist a snatching attempt on Sunday afternoon. Rishu was injured in the mouth and lost a few of her teeth,police said.

According to police,the girl’s parents — Rakesh Kumar and Sunita — had hired a shared-auto to reach their Seelampur home from Old Delhi railway station. “There were three persons inside the autorickshaw when Rakesh hired it. Rakesh,his wife and their daughter sat with one person on the rear seat,while the two others sat with the auto driver. On Geeta Colony flyover,one of them tried to open a bag the family was carrying,but Rakesh spotted it. He asked the driver to stop,but he increased the speed of the vehicle. There was an exchange of blows inside the moving autorickshaw and Rishu fell off the vehicle in the process,” a senior police officer said. With the help of passersby,Rakesh caught hold of the auto driver,Imran. The other three — Parvez,Namun and Shahaz — fled the spot.
