EC cautions CM over ‘religious’ appeal in poll pamphlet

Holding him responsible for having made an appeal through a pamphlet “to a particular religious community for securing votes” in favour of his party, the Election Commission of India on Friday conveyed its “concern” and cautioned Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal “to be more careful in the election campaigns” of the Aam Aadmi Party in future.

A Rajouri Garden resident had approached the ECI accusing Kejriwal of violating the provisions of the model code of conduct.
