Driver flees with Rs 30 lakh, Delhi Police arrest him from Gujarat’s Bhuj

The Delhi Police on Thursday arrested a man who had fled to Gujarat with Rs 30 lakh belonging to his employer earlier this month.

The accused was identified as Prince, 27, a resident of Nilothi in Delhi. He was working as a driver for the complainant, the police said. He was arrested from Bhuj.

Officers said that the complainant had reported on May 15 that his driver ran away with Rs 30 lakh that he received during a business transaction. A case was subsequently registered at Tilak Nagar police station and an investigation was launched.

The police team began by checking CCTV footage from various areas and conducting raids at known hideouts across Delhi. According to the police, as the investigation progressed, they utilised a combination of technical surveillance and manual intelligence, which eventually led them to Bhuj. A police team was immediately dispatched to Gujarat, and Prince was arrested in Bhuj.
