Delhi Police rejig: ACB head Madhur Verma returns after 2 years, 11 other officers transferred

Under Verma’s regime, FIRs of various cases, involving several AAP leaders who served as ministers under the previous government, were registered with the ACB, including the Rs 2,000-crore classroom fraud case.

Awaiting appointment for over a month now, 1994 batch IPS officer Rajesh Khurana has been posted as the Special Commissioner of Police (MD), Delhi Police Housing Corporation Limited, where his batchmate Neeraj Thakur was posted.

Thakur has now been transferred as the Special Commissioner of Police, Provision and Finance Division, and also holds the additional charge as the Special CP Vigilance.

In key appointments at the Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Garima Bhatnagar, a 1994 batch officer, has been posted as the Special CP EOW, while 2007 batch officer and Joint CP Licensing Nupur Prasad has been transferred as the Joint CP EOW.

With Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora retiring on July 31, transfer of some more senior officers is expected to take place after his departure.
