8-year-old girl rescued from kidnapper within 24 hours: Delhi Police
The Delhi Police questioned the kidnapped girl’s family members and relatives and analysed CCTV cameras to track her down.
While the authorities inspected the CCTV footage of the area, they also questioned the family members and relatives to look at the possibility of personal animosity (File Photo) An eight-year-old girl was rescued within 24 hours of being kidnapped allegedly by a man from near her house in the Kotla Mubarak Pur area of Delhi on Monday.
According to the Delhi Police, the man, identified as Arjun, alias Mohammad Umer, 28, was arrested on Tuesday evening from his house in Andheria Mor under Indian Penal Code (IPC) Section 363 for kidnapping. The girl was reunited with her family and was sent for a medical examination, they added.
The police were notified of the kidnapping on Monday afternoon when the girl’s father claimed that an unknown man had taken away his daughter. He told the police he tried to track down the man but was unsuccessful. After receiving the complaint, the police formed multiple teams from the Anti Auto Theft Squad, Special Staff, and the Kotla Mubarak Pur Police Station were formed to swiftly track down the girl.
