The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Tuesday accused the Delhi Police of coming under pressure from “secular and Muslim leaders” to book the organisation and its associated Bajrang Dal in connection with the Jahangirpuri clashes.
It also said that Delhi commissioner of police (CP) Rakesh Asthana’s statement that it had not taken permission to take out the shobha yatra through the area was “baseless”.
