(Express Archives)Delhi News Live Updates: The Delhi High Court is set to hear the bail pleas of former JNU student Umar Khalid and student activist Sharjeel Imam on November 25, in connection with a UAPA case linked to the alleged conspiracy behind the communal riots of February 2020. The bail pleas, along with those of other co-accused, including ‘United Against Hate’ founder Khalid Saifi, were scheduled for a fresh hearing on Monday before a bench comprising Justices Navin Chawla and Shalinder Kaur. Khalid, who was arrested by the Delhi Police in September 2020, has challenged a trial court’s decision that denied him bail. The violence broke out during protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC).
Meanwhile, with most exit polls predicting a clear majority for the Congress in Haryana, former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda arrived in Delhi on Sunday and is expected to meet the party’s top leadership on Monday. He is likely to meet the party’s senior leadership before he returns to his Rohtak residence Monday afternoon, sources said.

Weather and AQI reports: According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday, Delhi experienced a sunny morning with a minimum temperature of 23.2°C and 83% humidity. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 35.7°C. The Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 122, placing it in the “moderate” category, which is acceptable for most people but may cause discomfort for those sensitive to air pollution.
