Delhi-NCR News Highlights: Members of the Tyagi community have gathered outside Noida’s Grand Omaxe society, in support of Shrikant Tyagi. Harinder Tyagi, a protester, said, “We had replaced the plants which were removed earlier. But now we hear they are going to remove them again. If they are going to remove them then they should remove all the encroachments by other families. We are protesting against this.”
The Delhi High Court on Tuesday restrained the Aam Aadmi Party and several of its leaders from levelling “false” allegations against Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena and his family after they claimed that he was involved in a Rs 1,400 crore scam. The LG had approached the Delhi High Court on September 22 seeking an interim injunction restraining the Aam Aadmi Party and its members from publishing, commenting, or issuing any information through tweets, articles, and interviews or in any other manner to the public with respect to allegations of corruption and money laundering made against the LG.
Meanwhile, an evacuation alert has been declared in vulnerable areas as the water level in the Yamuna River breached the danger mark in Delhi. According to officials, the water level rose to 206.16 metres following the incessant rainfall in the catchment areas.
